Chat and Ping Wheels
When players are able to communicate effectively, they can better work together and be more successful as a team. The chat and ping wheels have been implemented to make communication between players much easier and more efficient.
Ping Wheel
The ping wheel increases communication without having to talk or type. It helps break language barriers because the pings are heard and seen in the language of each player’s client.
Press ALT and hold down the right mouse key on an area to display the ping wheel and send one of four messages: Danger, Enemy Missing, Assistance Needed, and On My Way.
Other players will hear your hero call out the ping and see a visual indicator on the area that you clicked.
Chat Wheel
Similar to the ping wheel, the chat wheel is another feature to help increase communication. While the ping wheel focuses on actions that are occurring in a specific place, the chat wheel offers more generic selections that aid in communicating simple commands and emotes.
Hold V to display the chat wheel and choose from these options: Push!, Stick Together, Get Back!, Spread Out, Thanks, Well Played, I'm Retreating, and Help!.
