Dominions II: The Ascension Wars

An epic simultaneous-move turn-based fantasy strategy game in which you take the role of a pretender god.

As a pretender god leading one of seventeen different nations, you strive to wipe out all other pretenders, Ascending and becoming the One True God. With your incarnate god you seek to spread your dominion across the known world with divinely-inspired priests, with masters of the arcane, and with armies of hundreds (or thousands) of men and fantastical creatures.

Dominions II includes customized pretender and realm creation, over 1000 different units, hundreds of spells in 7 schools of magic and 8 arcane paths, over 200 powerful magic items and 65 unique artifacts. You can play against up to 16 AI opponents in solo play, or via TCP/IP or PBEM against up to 16 human players. The game supports custom maps and extensive modding of units, items, pretenders, and maps.
